Okay, so I was in Dollar General I think it was and I saw this newspaper... It is a newspaper known greatly for spreading and falsifying things and spewing lies on every page, greatly exaggerating itself in the process. That's right: The National Enquirer. At the top of the front page I saw something. It was a photo of my hero, George Jones, along with a few other people. Right above it, it said something to the effect of "Celebs on their last legs" or something like that. If anyone knows me at all, you know that I am a HUGE (read: H-U-G-E) George Jones fan and an avid classic country fan. The headline frightened me and astounded me because they had the NERVE to do that!!! I *know* it's the Enquirer. I *know* that they are know for "exaggerating the truth", but this is too much. I don't know why they are still in business. Well okay, I *do* know why... But I mean COME ON! Have some dang sense people! Don't spread foolish LIES like that! I just went on The Possum's website, and I saw NOTHING on there saying he was "on his last leg"! Ridiculous, I tell ya what! I mean my God! What in the HECK is wrong with people?!

I grew up with similar musical tastes.

The man is actually extremely ill, but his estate and publicists are keeping mum, for his privacy sake.

The article of which you speak was enabled by the fact that celebrities, in all their niches, are followed mercilessly by the people behind it, and are hounded to no end.

I personally believe the man will die soon, but those kinds of reported tales are not helping either.
